Veterans Update for July

In fantastic news for military veterans, especially those who served during the Cold War, like me, our service has been duly recognized by Congress with the passing of the Legion Act on July 23rd.

The U.S. House passed the bipartisan LEGION Act on Tuesday, extending the recognized wartime era back to Dec. 7, 1941. As of this writing, POTUS is expected to sign the bill into law allowing many veterans that were not designated as war time vets included and eligible for membership in the American Legion.

Hundreds of thousands of honorably discharged servicemembers will now be fully recognized for the unique and dangerous mission they undertook to protect our Democracy from the spread of Communism during the Cold War. (
