Somerset 1 Food Drive

In the lead up to Thanksgiving, the Somerset 1 teamed up with the Somerville Knights of Columbus for their Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive.

Last year, 76 Turkeys along with sides and fixings were donated to area families identified by area churches and charities. This year, the venture distributed a record 91 turkeys along with sides and fixings throughout Somerset County and surrounding areas. This venture was led by Co-chairs Tom Burns and Dan Esposito.

Organizations that benefited from the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive included: Samaritan Homeless Interim Program, Agape House, Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen, Center for Great Expectations, Hunterdon County Youth Services, Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children, Mary Mother Of God Parish, Immaculate Conception Parish, Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish, Franklin Food Bank, Somerset County Food Bank and a number of needy families in the county.
