Project Paul Needs Your Help

Project Paul is a Catholic Charity that operates in the parish of Fr Dan Cahill, our State Chaplain Emeritus. One of the biggest services that they provide is a food bank. We have all heard Fr Dan speak about the special meaning that the cause of hunger has for the Irish and how passionately Fr Dan works for this cause.

Their facilities are located in one of the hard hit areas of the Bayshore and they were basically wiped out of all of their food, supplies, and equipment. They are now right on the front line of the disaster area and are trying to get back on their feet to serve the now overwhelming needs of the community.

“More than two-three feet of water entered the building contaminating food stored in the food pantry and destroying the thrift store’s first floor inventory. The large walk-in freezer and refrigerators are not operational, and like much of the building, are contaminated with mud. Walls are water damaged, as is the Project PAUL truck.”

As a part of the NJAOH Day or caring, we will be collecting both monetary as well as item donations at the volunteer sites in Belmar & LBI. The following items will be collected:

  • ** Checks made out to Project PAUL**
  • Food – canned and dry
  • Turkeys (Must be Frozen)
  • Toiletries – all kinds
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Blankets
  • Coats and Shoes
  • New socks and underwear

Items can also be dropped off at Monmouth 2’s Hall at 12 hwy 36, Middletown, NJ 07748 on 11/17 from 10AM to 1PM.
