2011NJAOH Helps Get The News Out On Dangerous Supoena
US Attorney’s Office in Boston has issued a supoena to Boston College at the request of the British Government. The supoena seeks to reveal oral histories and interviews with former IRA members. Interviews were provided to Boston College under the condition that they be kept secret until after the person’s death. If these stories were to be revealed, they could destabilize the overall peace process and put these people’s lives in danger.
The AOH is one of the groups that is contesting the supoena. Sean Hughes, NJ State treasurer and PR Chairman, was instrumental in arranging this inverview with past AOH National President Ned McGinley and The Hill. The Hill is an important news source that most congressmen and senators in Washington read daily.
