2012NJAOH Day of Caring
The NJ State Board has organized this Saturday Nov 17th as a volunteer day to help with hurricane recovery.
They are asking for volunteers for clean up type work at two different sites. People should bring items helpful for clean up work (work gloves, water for yourself, shovel, rake, etc)
Site 1 – Belmar:

Meet 9AM at Belmar City Hall (601 Main Ave Between 6th and 7th St)
Site 2 – LBI:

Meet 9AM at the Home Depot on Route 72 E just off of Parkway Exit 63 (197 New Jersey 72 Stafford Twp, NJ). They will put up an American Flag to identify their group in the lot.
In addition to the volunteering they are also asking for donations to Sea Bright’s Food Service efforts, the AOH Relief Funds, and Project Paul.
Sea Bright – Woody’s Bar has setup “Operation Feed Sea Bright” and are running full swing and now sending food to other towns. They are looking for donations of Sterno, laundry detergent, garbage pails, laundry baskets, new socks, rakes, buckets, mops, tin foil, salad dressing, BBQ sauce, serving dishes (tin), bacon, eggs, any food item (we have storage)…. Hot dog and hamburger rolls are in short supply!! – Route 36 Ocean Ave is now open so we can access Sea Bright to drop off any donations.
Project Paul – Food Pantry on Carr Ave in Keansburg. They were wiped out during the storm and lost all of their food. They are now in a position where they will start accepting non-perishable food donations.
