In Memorandum Robert J. Langan, Sr.

Robert J. “Bob” Langan, Sr., 82, of Perth Amboy passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Bob was a life-long resident of Perth Amboy. He was employed by Anaconda Copper Works, Perth Amboy, for 25 years as a Lead Burner. He then worked for the Middlesex County Department of Parks for 27 years. He was a communicant of Holy Spirit; a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1947; a National Life Member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians; a 60 plus year Member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Commodore John Barry Division 3, Perth Amboy, where he was a Past President; a Member of the Perth Amboy Fire Department Exempts, serving at the George B. McClellan Engine Company, No.3, Firehouse, where he also served as Past Captain. Bob was also a host family for Project Children.

Bob is predeceased by his son, James “Jay” Langan (2000); his parents, James and Thyra Langan; three brothers: James “Jim” Langan, Eugene Langan, and Dr. John “Jackie” Langan; a sister, Lillian “Cis” Kubinak; and step-brother, George Huber.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rose M. (Dall) Langan; his son, Robert J. Langan, Jr. and daughter-in-law Mag of Edison; grandchildren, Matthew Cahill, Aibrean Choi, and Jecenia Rose; brother, Jay Langan of Sayreville; sisters, Joni Paone of Perth Amboy and Lois Coleman of Edison.
